Stream

A Series of Transdisciplinary Rituals + Experiments in Art + Music

Stream is a biomorphic and inclusive collective of playmates who “dare to be unpopular”.

Row, row, row your boat

Gently Down the Stream.

Merrily, merrily, merrily,

Life is but a dream.

Following the path of least resistance, Stream dreams of more fluid and artful living. Less toil, more soul.

Sarah Gray studied Theatre and Choreography at Dartington College of Arts (2005-8) internationally renowned as a progressive arts education institution, founded in 1961. The College closed in 2010 following the merger and relocation to Falmouth University.

Sarah was the College's last Student Union President. She continued to work on Dartington Estate with Soundart Radio, a community station on FM born as a project at the College in 2007.

In 2018, Sarah said: “The closure of the College was heartbreaking and caused a wound that many feels need healing."  To help heal these wounds Sarah founded and organised a festival with support from many kind and generous people. In-kind support came from Soundart Radio and Dartington Hall Trust, not to mention the hours of work offered by our community of artists and volunteers,

The festival provided a platform for over 100 artists and hundreds of alumni’s voices were heard on Soundart Radio over the weekend, as stories and myths of the college were shared. See our Gallery page for photos and sound clips take over the three-day event.

In 2020, Sarah Gray started working as the Learning Community Coordinator for Schumacher College and the new Dartington Arts School. Sarah is a Director at Soundart Radio.

Stream in response to Covid-19 is producing online rituals and experiments and we are preparing for future Events on the Estate in 2021.
